Portal Initiative is the client business transformation program focused on continued modernization of our information systems. These information systems encompass the people, processes, procedures, data and information technology that support existing and anticipated operations. In support of operational excellence, continued growth and business initiatives, we will significantly expand information systems capabilities on the web, utilizing web services, IBM WebSphere, and Web Content Management, among other tools.
Position Description
Our client desires to retain the services of an information technology professional to support the customer portal team with technical skills in applications architecture and applications development as follows:
1. Two or more years of experience working on applications development teams
2. Expertise in systems development methodologies including both waterfall and agile; specific experience with Scrum highly preferred
3. Expertise in browser-based development including UI design, navigation and usability
4. Specific experience implementing web-based applications using Websphere Portal and Portlet Factory (Web Experience Factory) interfacing with web services
5. Expertise in open source and proprietary tools including JAVA and MS .Net; WebSphere Portal Server and Sharepoint 2010 implementation experience highly preferred Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills
