This client is searching for a Systems Developer Lead - Contract-to-Hire, who will work under general direction and in a team environment and will perform challenging assignments, including:
• Manage a development team of 3-6 persons, overseeing projects, priorities, and resources;
• Manage the analysis, purchase, and development of computer applications, interfaces, and other technology needs;
• Serve as primary technology point-of-contact for approximately 10 city departments;
• Perform business technology planning with client departments;
• Provide reports as needed to the Applications Development Manager;
• Perform other tasks as assigned;
Qualifications:
• 10+ years of experience developing computer systems; specifically, programming in a business/government environment (including experience with n-tier architecture) and following the Systems Development Life Cycle – Waterfall methodology preferred;
• 4+ years of supervisory experience;
• 4+ years experience developing applications in .Net 2 to 3.5, Visual Studio 2005 to 2010, C#, ASP.Net
• 4+ years experience analyzing business processes and documenting requirements;
• 2+ years experience managing technical projects;
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills;
• Excellent time management skills;
• Ability to coordinate the work of diverse group of people across multiple departments to achieve goals;
• Proven leadership skills, including the ability to plan, execute, and oversee multiple projects;
• The candidate should possess bachelor level degree in information systems, computer science, mathematics, business administration or related field;
Preferred Qualifications:
• Prior experience with local government applications
