Candidates should have experience in and their resumes should detail their experience with automated testing, QTP, and creating test plans to be considered.
Tests multi-tiered applications, design and defect reviews, setup test environments; and work with cross functional teams to understand and reproduce customer issues and devise approaches to resolve such problems using rigorous test approaches.
Performs test planning activities, including participation in requirements development, test strategy development and creation of test scenarios, procedures and status reports
Executes functional and new feature test cases for work units, system component integration, consistent UI and backend data access tests
Develops and executes data queries, and analyzes back-end data and system processes
Provides input into the development of quality metrics
Mentors other QA Engineers (when appropriate) on system development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA Methodologies
Develops regression automated test activities, including automation test strategies, automated test libraries and automated test suites
Follows automated script coding standards and participates in automation code reviews
Makes recommendations for improvement of overall automation process
Reports defects found and verifies fixes implemented as a result. Works with development team to troubleshoot and resolve quality issues
Sets up and helps to maintain QA test lab, including multi-machine product configurations
Work directly with SME through user acceptance testing
Skill Required / Desired Amount of Experience
Hands on Software Quality Assurance experience Required 5 Years
Experience testing Web based applications Required 5 Years
Experience in the preparation of Requirements Traceability Matrixes Required 5 Years
Extensive experience in the conducting of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Required 5 Years
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills Required 5 Years
Experience writing test plans and test scripts Required 5 Years
Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS). Highly desired
Experience testing infrastructure related initiatives. Highly desired
Experience with automation tools, preferably Visual Studio or Quick Test Desired
Experience writing SQL/Oracle queries Desired
