Short Description:
Primary responsibility is to assist with the design, and provide the programming development, and test the web based Hippocrates Java application. Anticipate and resolve programming issues.
Complete Description:
Years of Relevant Experience: 5 plus
Preferred Education: 4 year college degree or equivalent technical study
Role Description:
The programmer will function as a team member to enhance the existing Hippocrates modules including enhancements to the incident management and security and communication channels modules within Hippocrates. Document all work. Contribute toward user/training guide materials. Participate in design reviews to verify that design meets quality standards and functional/technical requirements.
Anticipate, identify, track and resolve issues and risks affecting own work and work of the Application Team. Develop contingency plans as necessary.
Apply specific expertise to ensure that products meet defined customer objectives.
Identify and track issues, risks and action items." Must possess strong skills in object-oriented analysis, design, and implementation (using UML), with active involvement in all phases of project life cycle. Quickly understands functional and technical aspects and offer excellent communication skills. Experience with developing web enabled State health emergency preparedness and response applications a strong plus. Must be a team player. Excellent written and verbal communications skills are essential.
Must provide writing samples such as Email paragraphs to something more formal.
