The Basel RWA Calculator Data Modeler is responsible for designing and implementing custom tables in Moody’s Fermat Data Mart (FDM). The FDM is the foundation Data Mart associated with a new solution in Global Finance that will be used to calculate and analyze capital requirements to support compliance with Basel II. This role will provide customization to the existing FDM data model as well as work with source data teams to design staging tables for the incoming data loads. They will also have responsibility to document design decisions, adhere to existing process guidelines, adhere to audit guidelines, oversee development of data model customization, manage the data development team, support Quality Services during testing, and conduct oversight during implementation into production.
Responsibilities:
• The candidate will take ownership of custom data model design activities for the new RW Calculator Fermat Data Mart (FDM) in the Basel Program.
• The candidate will work with the lead designer to assist with high level design and detail design activities for multiple data solutions.
• The candidate will work closely with Global Finance IT team members, other client IT organizations, and vendors/outsource.
• The ability to understand our financial business needs and translate them into effective, cost efficient system solutions and enhancements.
• Ability to resolve complex technical issues and comfortable working in white space situations.
• Complying with client IT standards and processes.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors Degree
• Banking or Financial industry experience
• Strong PL/SQL and ETL knowledge
• Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• 5 Years experience in Oracle development efforts
• 5 Years experience in Data Modeling
• 5 Years experience in ETL Design and Development
Preferred Qualifications:
• Degree in Computer Science
• Moody’s Fermat Data Mart experience
• Assertiveness and leadership presence
• A sense of ownership and responsibility for total IT execution
