Business Process Analyst/Engineer - Level 3 - Richmond, VA

Provides business process or systems support that may include duties such as root cause analysis, mapping of current processes or systems, iterative problem definition and hypothesized improvement opportunities. Experience using SIPOC analysis, process maps, and RACI, Six Sigma or other related methodologies. May include facilitation of Kaizen events. May involve re-engineering of existing processes.
Includes facilitation of organizational change and performance measures.

Service experience 5+ years in financial services environment
Related Experience 3+ years BSA experience desired but not required
Quantitative & Analytical Skills Excellent – strategic application of experience; Demonstrated experience supporting business process improvement projects
Methodologies Extensive demonstrated experience in two or more methodologies
Ability to effectively communicate across multiple levels (Executive Sponsors to team members). Influencing skills highly developed.
Proven ability to lead a diverse group towards resolution when faced with ambiguous situations

The Operations Analyst will partner with senior leaders to generate mathematical/statistical models for strategy and process improvements. They will leverage their mathematical modeling skills to develop, maintain, and improve tools and services required to perform key business functions.

Basic Qualifications:
• Degree/certification in statistics or related quantitative field
• 3 years of experience working with classic statistical tools such as linear regression models, logistic regression, hypothesis testing, and forecasting
• Proficient in MiniTab or SAS JMP

The Operations Analyst is responsible for end-to-end solutions including problem identification, data cleaning, data analysis, and model development. They will make recommendations to senior management, implement, and monitor various strategies. They will conduct analyses to ground the financial impact of their recommendations.

The Operations Analysis Manager will prepare presentations to communicate ideas and data to senior leaders.

Preferred Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience working with classic statistical tools such as linear regression models, logistic regression, hypothesis testing, and forecasting
• Project and/or direct management experience
• Broad knowledge of IT technologies and architectures
• Experience in analysis applied to accounting (chargeback, cost transfers, ABC, etc.)
