The application packaging specialist will repackage application installs for over 85 agencies using primarily Windows Installer format leveraging Wise Package Studio and its successor program AdminStudio for Symantec.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• The successful candidate will work directly with the application configuration owner to define requirements, develop design documentation and internal communications
• Package and\or repackage desktop applications using primarily Microsoft Installer technology (MSI) within Wise Package Studio
• Oversee application package and deployment testing
• Utilize Software Distribution tools such as Altiris Notification System to deploy, monitor and report on software distributions
• Provide 3rd level support and ticket processing for program related to deployments
• Utilize tools and expertise in remediation efforts for applications to package and work within Windows 7 platform

Additional Job Details: Basic Qualifications: To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below: • Have a Bachelors degree or equivalent technical training\certifications • 5 years of experience working and supporting desktop environment • of that 5 years have 1 year of experience that provides an in depth knowledge of Windows 7 Operating System • At least 3 years of experience with automated software deployment tools (Altiris, SCCM) Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration: • 2 years of scripting and coding knowledge • Good working knowledge of SQL
