Successful Candidate: Leads conceptually within assigned business group and in collaboration with the Art Director and/or Graphic Designer, create/direct final visual layouts that persuasively communicate marketing objectives to the end consumer.
Concepts both with visuals and copy as well as generate headlines and edit copy.
Directs and supervises the work of Junior Copywriters and outside creative vendors.
Acts as liaison to outside agencies and production services.
Monitors the progress of their projects to ensure that the creative intent is not diluted or changed.
Has strong presentation skills; being able to communicate both tactically as well as strategically.
Has expert knowledge both of the audience and category of their specific lines of business.
Experience:
4-year degree specializing in communications, creative writing, journalism or similar discipline. 5-8 years of industry experience.
Portfolio: Develops strategy and creates messaging/scripts for major advertising campaigns including broadcast, print and Web components. Possibly supervises other members of creative team. At this level may be viewed as “creative director.”
Industry Knowledge:
Direct Mail for financial industry highly preferred. Demonstrates the ability to generate a greater ROI by improving the strategy and/or overall concept for the final piece. Maintains awareness of industry trends, mentors junior copywriters.
Technical Knowledge:
MS Word - 5+, Quark - exposure, Acrobat - exposure |
