Business Systems Analyst for working on development projects in support of VITA application development projects. Ability to work with business leaders to identify reporting requirements and develop needed detailed business requirements.
Excellent understanding of the business and processes used to support their needs. Design and maintenance of logical and physical data models. Will assist in the system interface, database logical modeling, and application design process. Works as a liaison between the business and development teams. Performs a project lead role for small to medium sized projects. Should possess demonstrated experience with data modeling software tools.
Experience in several of the following areas:
- 5+ years of business systems analysis experience
- Developing business requirements/objectives that are properly defined and clearly understood by the development team
- Building the business models and algorithms
- Experience in a variety of analysis and development methodologies
- Demonstrated understanding of BI tools and techniques
- Experience working on projects involving Web Development especially using .Net.
- Project leadership skills
- Experience working in an Oracle/MS SQL Server environment
- Knowledge in computer concepts and the systems development life cycle
- Experience in SQL
- Providing quality assurance for new or enhanced systems by: designing comprehensive test plans, test case definition and test data for both technical and user testing phases.
- Experience with relational database development
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tool: Microsoft Project, Microsoft Word, VISIO, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Preferred Education: 4 year college degree or equivalent technical study
Requires a minimum of 4 years of experience in business systems analysis to include 2+ years of experience with data analysis, systems development life cycle, database logical modeling, MS Project, MS Word, Excel, Visio.
Requires at least one year of experience on Oracle/ SQL Server project.
